M.Ed. – Hope International University
Coach Scott is starting his 2nd year as the CCS Athletic Director and 14th year overall here at Crossroads Christian School. For the previous 12 years, he served 8 years as the K-8 Athletic Director and Elementary PE facilitator, and four years as a middle school facilitator. He is married to his wonderful wife of 25 years, Claire, and has two awesome children: Caitlyn, a 2018 CCHS graduate, and Christopher, a CCHS freshman. Coach Scott loves almost all sport-related activities, with his favorites being hiking, snow skiing, or going to the beach.
His passion for education developed after spending 10 years in business. While working for various companies, he found that he most enjoyed both being able to lead and train other employees, and educating clients on the products or services he provided. Since making the move to education, he has found his true calling- teaching and leading today’s youth, not just in academics, but in living a life determined to glorify Jesus through it!
What does a God-first School mean to him? To Coach Scott, a God-First School means simply a school that strives to put Jesus first in all things- whether it’s academics, arts, athletics, communication, relationship, or any other aspect of education here at CCS. It also means that we love one another and extend grace to one another.
