- Understanding the difference between universities
- Identifying strengths and interests in careers
- General knowledge of College acceptance tests
- Familiarization with collegeboard.org
- Take the PSAT 8/9 (freshman)
- Take the PSAT 10 (sophomores)
- General understanding of all degree levels in college
Junior Year
- Register to take the SATs and ACTs
- Recommendation: take 1 in the fall, 1 in the spring and a third in the summer or during fall semester of your senior year
- Visit college campuses
- Research Scholarships
- Optional SAT/ACT prep courses
- Refer to your collegeboard.org account for additional information and deadlines regarding college readiness and acceptance
Senior Year
- Summer prior to senior year beginning
- Visit college campuses
- Begin college applications
- Continue Researching and now submitting Scholarships
- Fastweb.com (scholarship tool)
- Take the SAT and/or ACT in the Fall
- Attend college preview events
- Finish and submit college applications by the application deadline of selected colleges
- Complete FAFSA
- Commit to your University
- After graduation request final official transcripts to be sent to the college you will be attending
